Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) invites applications for a full-time, tenured Associate or Full Professor to serve on the faculty of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. The position will start in the Fall semester of 2018.

In addition to contributing to the teaching mission of the College, this individual will lead a sustainable extramurally funded research program and develop and foster trans-disciplinary research opportunities. The primary responsibility of the individual holding the position is to develop extramural and internal relationships, conduct funded research and to mentor faculty, students, and key community partners while contributing to the service mission of the College and the Texas A&M University.

This faculty member will be responsible for:• Supporting interdisciplinary research teams, engaging faculty, students and community partners, competing for external funding, and research dissemination.• Teaching non-clinical courses in the undergraduate, master’s, and/or doctoral programs• Serving on master’s and doctoral committees• Providing service to the university, college, community, and profession

Required Qualifications:

• Earned doctorate in nursing, public health, health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related discipline • Record of accomplishment via publication in leading journals • Ability to establish or maintain an extramurally-funded research program• • Experience in conducting and engaging in research/scholarly activity in their area of disciplinary expertise• Demonstrate effective writing and oral communication skills.• Be committed to professional development, collegiality, public service, and high-quality teaching

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in gerontology, mental health, global health, or health disparities research• Strong methodological skills relevant to their field• Commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity• Experience with rural and underserved populations• Willingness to teach a variety of courses and provide curricula support in theCollege of Nursing and Health Sciences• Qualifications for the rank of Associate or Full Professor
